I view this a bit more from a philosophical standpoint.
Would you want your doctor carrying around last year’s version of Epocrates or Up To Date?
Why carry around a paper version that is out of date the day it is published?
You are simply playing “Russian Roulette” if you don’t.
But what is different between the 20 versions of Hopkins? For Hopkins, this is a good thing, as the app is very easy to use.
Forcing me to spend an hour or more updating your software is unreasonable.
Even though the updates are tested before they’re released, sometimes they don’t install smoothly on some of the phones.
My preference of Hopkins over Sanford is simply the better user interface and “load time” of the app on my i Phone. The app will continue to function on your phone if you don’t update.
